Abstract

People with schizophrenia-spectrum or bipolar disorder experience increased relative and absolute incidence of systemic physical multimorbidity spanning multiple systems, compared with individuals without these disorders. The largest differences were observed among younger cohorts, emphasising the need for early prevention.
